Becca
Becca is a the part-time Office Manager for a Guardianship company in Coral Gables, FL and is a recent MBA graduate from East Carolina University. She is also.... a knitter, graphic and web designer, marketing chick, mommy to FatCat Phoenix and MinPin puppy Lola, party planner, creative genius, and all around awesome woman. Currently she's looking for the perfect opportunity to arise while patiently researching how to start up a business. Specifically, a yarn store called Sheep 2 Skein.

Steve
Steve is an all-around Renaissance man! He recently became a Medicare certified Home Health Aide and is working full-time as aprivate duty nurse. When he's not at work with his crazy schedule, his interests are varied... art, drawing, accounting, bookkeeping, clay sculpting, cartoonist-ing, and much more! He is currently reading many books, including Becca's Flash CS3 book, to learn more about all his interests. Steve would love to go back to school for his MAcc degree in the future.

How We Met:
Steve sent Becca a "woo" on OKCupid.com in late September 2007. They exchanged many e-mails, but Becca was dating someone else at the time. Over the next couple of months, they continued to exchange e-mails while dating other people. When Becca was single again, she e-mailed Steve to see what he was up to. As it happened, he was single as well and they immediately planned their first date for.

The first date had a small complication when Becca's friend started calling and texting her repeatedly during dinner. As it turned out, their apartment complex was on fire(!) and they needed a place to stay for at least one night with their cats. She assured Steve that it wasn't a "bad date phone call" and left. Once things were settled with her friends, she called him and they planned for their second date, Becca's work holiday party, a few days later. And all went quite well at the party, obviously!

It was finals time for Becca, so studying consumed much of her free time. They had to arrange for dates and time spent together around her work and studying schedule and Steve's crazy work schedule. Life continues to be interesting between Becca's homework time after her work day and Steve's irratic work schedule.

And in January 2009, Becca and Steve drove down to Rock Hill, SC to pick up their first baby - a Miniature Pinscher puppy that we named Lola!

Our future together:
The future is wide open. Hopefully we will have our first child (of 4!!) within a year or 2 after the wedding. We're no spring chickens being in our mid and late 30s. Right now we're living in South Florida, but unless we can afford private school for our children, this might change. Adoption is a very viable option and we'll be looking into that in the very near future.
